Fools and their Foolishness

Hey who is on whiskey this Friday?
Who won at poker?
When are we going to wear civil war regalia and drink by torchlight?
We should also address eachother by their rank and file.
Also, we should become more than a club...we should be a guild!!!
Or wait, more than a guild, but more like minutemen!

When the world goes to shit, the town calls upon the Gitsee Minutemen!

Get cho gun!

The Whiskey List

I think, as we go along, we should keep a tab of all the whiskeys we've drank and give them a ranking.  Now let's see how my memory works:
1st Meeting -- Laphroaig Quarter Cask (?)
(I remember a lot of "hoo"ing and screwed up faces)

2nd Meeting -- Maker's Mark
(a lot sweeter and didn't taste like a campfire)

3rd Meeting -- The Famous Grouse and ??? (I think you got it Wisco)
(I mostly remember Rock Band... and Pease reciting the speech to everyone over his pancakes)

4th Meeting -- Woodford Reserve, Laphroaig 10 Year, and I think there may have even been a 3rd bottle?
(Laphroaig a little easier to handle, Woodford finishing off the night)

5th Meeting -- I can't wait until this Friday

THE TOAST

Gentlemen,
Commit this to memory or tattoo it inside your eyelids (or could we put it on our new glassware?)

To a long life, and a healthy one;
A quick death, and a painless one;
To a pretty girl and a fair one;
and to a cold drink and another one.

Hey everyone i found a great website that would allow us to solve a problem that i have seen surface at our events around having enough whiskey appropriate glassware. I was thinking something in the format below (obviously, much nicer but the website has clearly disabled my ability to import the actual image). If we ordered twelve, they would be about 7 bucks a piece. A fair price to pay for something of distinction to drink our fine whiskeys from. What do you think?

Welcome to the blog!

I thought this would be a great way to central manage all of the great ideas, post times and dates and maybe even track our fine whiskey selections and tournament winners. Also, from a organizational perspective it will allow each of us to share links and connections to other things that are important to us so we can learn a little more about each other.
